Govt. has instituted   Justice Verma Commission to suggest reforms in Anti Rape Laws .

Our Suggestions to the Commission :=

With due respect we submit our suggestions :-[

( 1 ) No Death Penalty. We are , in general , against Capital Punishment.

( 2 ) All rape cases should be heard in Fast Track Courts ( new courts be set up ) . Even Appeals should be Fast Tracked

( 3 ) Trials should be camera .

( 4 ) The Victim's real name and identity not be used . Instead a Cover Name be given ( like we use Roll Numbers and not names in our Exams )

( 5 ) Rape cases pending against Politicians be also Fast Tracked and Exemplary Punishment be awarded to them

( 6 ) Police in all States be taken off all forms of V I P / Politician / High Official duty and the Police be used only for Law and Order duties for the Public .

IN CASE ANY CULPRIT INDULGES IN ANY SORT OF NAME DROPPING ( MENTIONS NAME OF ANY POLITICIAN / HIGH OFFICIAL THEN THE POLICE RECORD THAT NAME AND MAKE SUITABLE ENQUIRIES WITH THAT HIGH OFFICIAL / POLITICIAN

( 7 ) Police Reforms be implemented at the earliest. We are , still , following the Old Colonial British system where the SSP is answerable to the Home Secretary / Home Minister . The District Police Head ( SSP ) should be answerable to the general public of the District also and not merely to the Home Minister.

( 8 ) For registering rape cases , Lady Police official be present. There should a Lady Volunteer Social Worker or a Representative of the Local Girls College / School.

( 9 ) Tinted Glasses  from all vehicles , especially Govt. vehicles , Hooters / Red Beacon cars be removed.

(10 ) There should proper checks against any misuse of rooms in Govt. accomodations like Circuit Houses

( 11) Prostitution Laws be suitably reformed so that some sort of Regulated Volunteer Paid Sex Activity is allowed to take place in society.
