You may get an Aadhaar card verification call anytime, asking for your Aadhaar number. It will be termed 'Verification Call' from BSNL, Idea, Airtel, Vodafone (invariably whichever is your mobile operator). It will be addressed on AIVRS. You will be told by caller that if you have Aadhaar card then press 1, then you will be asked for your Aadhaar number, etc. Now that almost all people's bank accounts are linked to Aadhaar, you will be asked to press some more buttons also. Then you will get an OTP in that mobile and will be asked to register that OTP. Once you send OTP, bank account linked to your Aadhaar card will free up itself and the call will also be automatically cut. Immediately you will find your accounts linked to Aadhar become empty. As every info/query conveyed makes it appear genuine and authentic, you may get easily duped.
Pls do not entertain such fake calls and caution your friends and relatives about this. You also don't tell your Aadhaar card number to anybody esp over phone calls. Your Aadhar-linked bank accounts will be robbed. Do not fall prey to anybody's hoax. This msg post is also accessible to other people.
