Most important fact to note is that while flamboyant speeches were being made by some in safe and cozy environments , Mahatma Gandhi chose to be in Noakhali ( Bengal ) , without any Security , trying to quell violent communal violence.

1947 Nehru led Mid Night bash was boycotted by the Mahatma , the main leader of the Freedom Struggle.
