About the company: ASHFCL has 120 branches and around 1300 employees across 8 states. Key points from the presentation .are as follows:

1. Loan book - Rs. 4400 cr

2. Net interest earned in 9 months FY19 - Rs. 179.70 cr

3. Write offs and provisions were reason of loss. It was done to clean up the books (as mentioned).

4. Rs. 200 cr of capital infusion took place in ASHFCL in Q3FY19 by parent company.

5. Adequate sales force is in place for higher loan disbursement.

6. Organisational changes have been made from branch system to vertical system.

7. Average ticket size is Rs. 8.5 lakh per client

8. High investment in technology for building apps and better customer service.

9. Total equity - 520.65 cr shares of F.V. 1 each.

10. At price of Rs. 10/- the valuation stands at Rs 5200 cr.

Other events in the company

1. Bain capital's offer to infuse capital Rs. 10.5/- per share was rejected as MOSL as their expectation was 12.5/-. This happened before the on going NBFC crisis.

2. Fresh licenses for new NBFC will not be issued so easily in next 2 years. With liquidity drying up in HFCs, only those that are backed by strong promoter will survive after ongoing consolidation in HFCs and NBFCs

3. Last fundraising was @ 2.5/- by the promoter group, MOSL in December 2018. The quantity was 40 crore shares bringing the total amount to Rs. 100 crore. 

4. General Atlantic and Warburg Pincus have performed due diligence in ASHFCL in 2019. It is rumored that the price could be between Rs. 7 and Rs. 9 per share.

5. Aadhar Home Finance, a subsidiary of DHFL who is facing heat in the secondary market is being valued at 3.5 times its book value and Hero Fincorp is leading in the race to acquire it. At Rs. 8 per share, ASHFCL will be valued at 4 to 4.3 times its latest book value.

Opinion: Being a market veteran with an experience of over 30 years in capital market, Motilal Oswal group will most likely provide an exit for themselves and other investors at a very good premium in the long term. And as this company is in the nascent phase without very big events in the broader news, it is available at a reasonable price today.
