Some time back , regional Ludhiana Stock Exchange was doing a flourishing business and in those days there were no Mobile phones/ Internet which could tell you , in an instant , how the Share Markets were behaving on a particular day.
But a road side food vendor near the Exchange building could tell you accurately even without entering the Transaction Hall ( there were no Computers then ).
On a day when Markets were down , he would say so.
" Today very few ordered premium dishes ( like Shahi Paneer etc ) . Majority of investors even Big Operators , ordered simple meals ( like Dal/ Chappati ). Must be MANDA today.

Once a very keen Share Trader went to his doctor for routine examination . The investor was full time involved in share tradings .. On that particular day markets were going UPAR and NICHEY ( "Choppy Trading " -as they say it on the TV ).
The doctor taking the share investor 's Blood Pressure ( BP ) reading said in great alarm ( Ghabra Kar ) :-
" UPAR KA TO 150 HO GAYA ".
The share investor ,without looking up at his Doctor ,with great satisfaction and joy replied ,
" BAHUT BADIYA - JAB 175 HO JAAYE TO BECH DENA "
