NSDL - Important Message-Be Aware of Phishing

'Phishing' e-mails appear to come from a trusted source such as a bank, financial institutions etc. for obtaining personal information.

 

  • Never click or respond to e-mail messages that request for your personal or financial information. Phishing attack is carried out through very similar looking e-mail addresses e.g.
  • Do not share details like DP ID, Client ID, PAN, CAS (Consolidated Accounts Statements)  etc. with anyone.
  • Instead of clicking or responding or downloading an attachment, go to the organization's website directly to confirm that it has sent the information.
